Integrated Seating

Seating on the school ground doesn’t simply have to mean a bench. Extending the edges of a staircase, including a surface to rest your back against, thickening the edge of a planter, or adding a flat platform – all of these elements can be used in multiple ways, including seating. Providing spaces to rest on the school ground is important, allowing children to rest after active play, or providing a space from which to supervise students on play elements.
