This small-scale playground project was funded by the PAC. Curved asphalt accessible walkways are bordered by solid edges to contain mulch and sand. Mulch is used as a soft surfacing material under play equipment, while a sand pit provides a malleable play material. Note that lessons learned from this project point to the need to place the sand area further from the school entrance. Integrated into this sand area is a shade tree to make this a comfortable place to play even on sunny days. A low brick wall which doubles as a place to sit features a number of legacy bricks bearing the name of donors.
