This imaginative play area is constructed largely out of recycled wind turbines. The playground is 1200 square meters, and is comprised of a maze-like space with slides, towers, net climbers, and plenty of other interactive elements.
Five discarded rotor blades were used to build this play area, with each rotor blade cut into pieces, and given a distinct character. There are four towers including a watchtower and a slide tower. Between these towers, a net is suspended, providing an opportunity to climb between them.
This colourful playground strongly embodies its Dutch identity, and proves that creative repurposing of materials can create excellent play value.
