Located in La Chapelle St-Luc, on the outskirts of Troyes, the “Parc des Prés de Lyon” was designed in the 1970s. When it came time to rejuvenate the park, the town council contracted BASE to make it more accessible and attractive. BASE renovated the ground, pathways, entrances, and planted plots, proposing several new play areas.
A 700 square meter concrete skate park was built, along with children’s playgrounds, a miniature golf course, and a health and fitness trail. At the centre of the park, BASE proposed building a 170 square meter south-facing wooden structure that offers a place to relax, play, or sunbathe. Wooden pontoons and banks, located one-meter high, provide access to this structure, which is located on a large flood plain.
