This new playground at Saxon Rehab Center is designed specifically for children with visual impairment or total blindness. Tall metal poles are fitted with brightly coloured shapes with the theme of “Touch and Listen”, stimulating different senses so kids can learn to navigate as they play.
The playground also features a swing, a slide, a trampoline, and a climbing structure. A “kickabout” area surrounded by a fence and shrubs gives kids a place to kick a ball around without it rolling too far away.
Many different playing and sitting options give kids of all levels of physical challenge and ability a chance to play and grow.
