The Wall-holla was developed in 2006, when Carve was tasked with creating a compact play solution that would accommodate large numbers of children on a school ground. The Wall-holla is a vertical play structure that combines several different functions, allowing it to appeal to all age groups. It acts as a crawl-through maze, a climbing wall, and a lounge object. Depending on how it’s configured, it can be used as a ball-stop at the edge of a sports field.
The Wall-holla is a modular system, meaning it can be configured in many different ways. The undulating “ribbons” create a vertical, ever-changing maze, appealing to children’s sense of imagination. The surface varies between soft rubber, rope mesh, and open grid, encouraging children to sit, walk, hang, swing, slide, run, jump, vault, and hide. The possibilities are endless!
