Bicycle Racks

While they don’t necessarily provide play value (although children can have amazing imaginations), bicycle racks should be included on any school ground. Having the racks means that children can feel comfortable riding their bikes to school, encouraging active transportation. It will also allow teachers and other school staff to safely secure their bikes. The number of bicycle racks you should include will vary by school population. It’s a good idea to have the racks painted in a bright colour, and to install them in any area of the school ground which will have plenty of visual surveillance throughout the day.
