Lighting

Lighting is an integral part of the school ground, especially during the shorter days of fall and winter, or those dark and drizzly mornings and afternoons. What kind of lighting needs exist at your school will be a function of what kinds of use the school ground will see outside of school hours. For example, if renting a soccer field is a source of revenue for the school, then ample lighting needs to be provided for that activity. There are three key functions of lighting: providing way finding, creating a safer school environment, and adding a little fun (just take a look at Carve’s tube lighting). Get creative with what these lighting fixtures can look like, and they will be an exciting addition to the project.
