Permeable Paving

Reducing runoff, eliminating puddles, and helping with stormwater management, permeable paving is a great addition to any sustainable school ground. When it rains, instead of water puddling on the ground it will simply soak right through this paving material, recharging the groundwater and helping to filter the water. Permeable paving comes in many shapes and sizes, and may be either a solid material like permeable asphalt, or made up of individual tiles.
