Shrubs

While shrubs may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of play elements, they can form an important component of the school environment. Shrubs can divide up play spaces in a variety of ways, becoming a part of various hide-and-seek games. Make sure to consider a variety of factors when picking shrubs. How densely packed are the leaves? Are the leaves small or big? How big will the shrub get? Will the shrub flower or change colour in the fall?
