Sluices

What is a sluice? A water channel controlled by a gate. Small scale sluices make for excellent play opportunities on a playground, allowing children to control the flow of water through a channel. Using a water pump to feed the sluice will encourage social play as children work together to fill the channel and control the water. This is also a great addition to a sand pit, providing a chance to introduce water into the sand, and get creative with sand sculptures and castles! This is especially fun for small children.
