Tables & Work Surfaces

Incorporating tables and work surfaces into the design is a critical part of facilitating and encouraging outdoor learning opportunities. In addition, tables encourage socializing and provide a gathering space for students who want quieter time during recess, or a place to do crafts. You can think beyond the table, but make sure to provide flat surfaces that make it easy to draw and write, or to use a laptop or tablet.
